Em casos em que o paciente possui os dentes pequenos, mostrando mais gengiva no sorriso, possibilita aumentar a quantidade de dente aparente por meio da remo\u00e7\u00e3o de tecido gengival e, em alguns casos, tecido \u00f3sseo. Com o uso da tecnologia em alguns casos \u00e9 poss\u00edvel fazer sem deslocamento do retalho e acesso ao tecido \u00f3sseo via sulco.
